2nd cohort for AcceleRise: 6 start-ups join the program

Today, eleven FoodTech and Agtech startups pitched for the AcceleRise jury. The acceleration program's founding members were able to select 6 candidates to join the second cohort, to begin their intensive acceleration phase on September 14th.

Who made the cut?

Atelier Sarrasin - Nicolas Crabot & Benoit Wartel

A total of 65 applications

AcceleRise has not lost momentum between its first and second cohort with the number of applicants remaining steady at 65. 20 startups were preselected of which 11 advanced to the final on July 11th to present their company to the jury.

 

The first cohort, made up of 7 startups  (Aveine, Boostherm, Cellier Domesticus, Food Me Up, Inalve, Kuantom and Tassiopée) recently finished their 3 month acceleration by pitching for more than a billion euros of investment funds.

A program with international recognition

As a leading initiative for the development of FoodTech and AgTech startups, the participants of the cohorts 1 & 2 of AcceleRise will be exclusively eligible to represent France in the Food Nexus Startup Challenge, a European contest taking place in December 2017 in th Netherlands.

 

Prior to this event, the second cohort will be starting its acceleration program on September 14th: 3 months of weekly training sessions and workshops, with one-to-one coaching and mentoring from the AcceleRise team and a pool of professional mentors. The members of the cohort also benefit from access to the Vitagora cluster's network of 350 food business players in France and abroad.

 

Thanks to direct connections with future partners, clients or investors, including food multinationals, these startups will have the right tools and contacts to sucessfully launch the manufacturing and sales of their products and services.

 

The assistance provided to AcceleRise candidates also draws on a large number of mentors and partners, who share their experience and expertise on various aspects of food business and entrepreneurship.
