Session #2 of AcceleRise is underway

The first session of AcceleRise came to an end on April 20 & 27 with the alumni startups pitching for investors worth more than 1 billion euros. The session #2 is already underway with applications open until June 12th, 2017.

Pitching for more than 1bn Euros in investment funds

In conclusion of their 3-month intensive acceleration program, the 7 startups selected for the AcceleRise program took part in two pitch days, in Paris and in Dijon. Responding present were more than a dozen investors representing more than 1 billion Euros in investment funds. These included Axa venture, Citizen Capital, Emertec, Seventure, FFC, la BPI, BPCE group and Bourgogne Angels.

An enthusiastic first cohort

"We initially took part in AcceleRise to get entry to the foodtech ecosystem," explains Nicolas Naigeon, founder of Aveine and AcceleRise alumni. "Most of all, a panel of experts challenged us all aspects of our company." "This acceleration program allowed us to reach a major landmark, the launch of our first product, planned for June 2017," continues Valentin Lecomte, president and co-founder of Kuantom, a second AcceleRise startup. "We are proud to be part of AcceleRise and the Foodtech family that represent in France and abroad."

"Our goal for 2018 was to raise 5 million Euros to go further with our R&D and to market our solutions," concludes Sébastien Vassaux, founder of FoodMeUp. "We are very happy to have taken part in AcceleRise, which allowed us  in particular to meet a number of  business and investment players, several of whom have expressed an interest in FoodMeUp."
