Vitagora startups recognized as “Key Innovators” for sustainable seafood project
Tilkal and PageUp, both start-up members of the Vitagora network, along with Smartwater Planet (Spain), have been named “Key Innovators” by the European Commission’s Innovation Radar for their outstanding contributions to the SEA2SEE Project.
The SEA2SEE project, funded by the EC Horizon Europe program, aims to develop advanced, AI-driven traceability systems for promoting sustainable and transparent seafood consumption. Using blockchain technology, SEA2SEE fosters responsible sourcing, supporting a greener and more secure food supply chain. The 14 members of the project, including Tilkal, PageUp and Vitagora, are engaged in a 4-year program to boost the visibility, social acceptance and consumption of sustainable seafood in Europe.
The Innovation Radar, a European Commission initiative, identifies and promotes high-potential innovations from EU-funded projects, spotlighting innovators who could be the next big names in tech, such as former EU-funded companies Skype and TomTom. This provides the recognised start-ups with greater visibility and notoriety,
Congratulations to our members for this recognition of their innovations and the role of SEA2SEE in accelerating the food sector’s journey toward a more sustainable future!
