Use case - SensoStat
"We felt supported at every stage of the project."
– Arnaud Thomas, Head of Research & Innovation at SensoStat.

SensoStat is an innovative SME specialising in sensory analysis, consumer testing and marketing, and statistical analysis.
Their needs
The managers at SensoStat wanted to develop an idea to use sensory analysis to combat food waste. This approach required bringing together different skills and a partner in the field to conduct the experiments.
As this was their first experience of setting up an innovative collaborative project, SensoStat quickly called on Vitagora to support them in their journey as project leaders, from the initial idea to the promotion of the results. The project was named GASPPLI.
Solutions provided
Vitagora's comprehensive support enabled SensoStat to confidently navigate the various stages of setting up and running the GASPPLI project :
- Identify partners
Thanks to its knowledge of its members' areas of interest, Vitagora was able to quickly propose relevant partners. Page UP and the CROUS (Regional Centre for University and School Works) in Dijon were thus able to join the consortium.
- Facilitating discussions
The Vitagora representative was responsible for organising and chairing meetings, briefing participants, taking minutes and defining the scope of the project.
- Targeting funding options
On Vitagora's advice, the project was submitted for funding to the Burgundy Regional Council. Vitagora guided the consortium in structuring the application while acting as an intermediary with the funder.
- Advisor for optimising the funding application file
The dossier was critically reviewed by the Vitagora team and underwent a certification process, which provided constructive feedback from experts within the Vitagora network.
- Resolving difficulties during the active phase of the project
As GASPPLI was impacted by the COVID-19 crisis, Vitagora intervened on several occasions with financiers to manage deferral requests and release funding.
- Promoting results
Vitagora has raised awareness within its network through regular communications, with the consortium's agreement. Vitagora continues to support partners in promoting the project commercially and identifying potential customers.
Resultats
- Funding: Goal achieved
The GASPPLI project has been awarded a €135,000 grant from the Burgundy Regional Council.
- Knowledge transfer: Goal achieved
This project has enabled SensoStat to establish its expertise and innovative research work within the sensory analysis community in France and internationally, while gaining visibility within the Vitagora business ecosystem.

"We really needed support on this project, which Vitagora provided with attentiveness, responsiveness and great professionalism. They played a key role in facilitating exchanges between the various parties involved – between partners, but also with funders. This enabled us to move forward very quickly.Throughout the project, Vitagora provided us with quick and effective answers to every question we asked. We felt listened to and supported throughout the project and beyond."
